Nageiredo Hall of Mitokusan Sanbutsu-ji Temple

A miraculous national treasure, Nageiredo Hall, or "Thrown-in Hall," is built as if suspended on a precipitous cliff. Legend has it that an ascetic named En no Gyoja threw the hall into the hollow from the foot of the mountain using his mystical powers. Nageiredo Hall fascinates visitors with its simple yet beautiful appearance, which varies according to the season. The entire vicinity has been designated as a place of historical interest and scenic beauty.
