Kumano River Bout Tour on a Traditional Wooden Boat

Kumano River Bout Tour on a Traditional Wooden Boat

Enjoy a wonderful time cruising down the Kumano River, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This Kumano River workshop was produced by locals and sailors who have lived along the river and protected it for generations to pass on the translucent streams, scenery, history and culture of the Kumano River to future generations. Enjoy a tour of the Kumano River from a traditional three-sail “Sandanbo” riverboat. With the engine turned off, sailing with the wind in the sails allows you to experience a unique scenery on both sides not encountered in everyday life, such as the chirping of birds, the fluttering of their wings, and the sounds of the wind and river. Come experience the true charm of the Kumano River.
