sokoiko! Cycling tour and “Amagoi rain prayer adventure” -Mystery of water and the stories told through prayers-

A cycling tour of Oku-Asuka, the land from which “Empress Kogyoku” was said to have called down heavy rains through her Amagoi rain prayer, according to the “Nihon Shoki” (book on classical Japanese history). Appreciate the experience with all five senses, including natural wonders such as “Mebuchi,” the land of the “Namode dance” to express gratitude for an Amagoi rain prayer and the Amagoi rain prayers themselves, the forests of Oku-Asuka, Asuka River and more. A “mind that believed through prayer” was treasured in those ancient times when science remained unadvanced. Through the tour, experience the story of Japan’s heritage and the value of nature. Trace the wishes of people who faced infectious diseases and natural disasters and take home a message of the value of belief.
