Oriental White Stork Observation Tour (with English-speaking guide)

Oriental White Stork Observation Tour (with English-speaking guide)

Oriental White Stork brought back from extinction in Japan. Toyooka is the last habitat of the Oriental White Stork, and is working to reintroduce them in the wild. Besides learning about the history and initiatives related to them, from extinction to revitalization, you can also enjoy the organic, wet-harvested rice that was key to their restoration and the vegetables grown from a lush environment where the Oriental White Stork can also live on this tour. Walk along Hachigoro’s Tojima Wetland with a guide, a place where Oriental White Stork pairs have been raising their chicks annually since 2018. While doing so, you can come into contact with the wildlife, visit rice fields that are the feeding grounds of Oriental White Storks and set out in search of Oriental White Storks living in their natural habitat.
