Kyoto cloisonne enamel making workshop
Shippoyaki (cloisonne) is a traditional metalworking craft in which metals have a glass enamel baked onto them. Hiromi-Art makes and sells accessories and odds and ends made with Kyoto cloisonne, which is one of Kyoto’s traditional crafts. At frontline experiences organized by the Higashiyama shop, which is a 7-minute walk from Yasaka Shrine, you will make vibrantly colored accessories using pure silver over a metal base. Adding color is simple, so it is something that even first-time customers can enjoy, and moreover, you get to take your finished work home that day. You can also enjoy shopping for cloisonne products in the shop.
