Kyoto Thatched Village Guided Walk

Kyoto Thatched Village Guided Walk

Located in central Kyoto prefecture, Miyama-cho is a Japanese mountain farming village preserved unchanged over the ages. Visitors can now tour the village of 39 kayabuki thatched-roof farmhouses with a local, English-speaking guide. Tours take 60 minutes, and guides go over the structure and way of life with the thatched-roof homes as well as the society of mutual aid around them, while also covering the SDGs and traditional Japanese life. Take this chance to experience the true nature of Japan with the optional tour when you drop by Kayabuki no Sato.
