Suma-dera Special night viewing

Suma-dera Special night viewing

This experience takes place at Sumadera Temple, a site linked to historic warrior Atsumori and located near the site of the Battle of Ichi-no-Tani in Japan's Genpei War (occurring almost 1,000 years ago), and involves instruction in the Shingon Buddhist meditation method "Ajikan" by deputy chief priest Yoto Oike. This tour also features special illumination of the temple grounds just for our guests, with the charms and beauty of the Sumadera Temple pagoda, garden and other sights shown as never before in night worship services.
