Extravagant one-week program in which artisans from Kurotani Washi, with its 800 years of history, will thoroughly teach you how to make Japanese paper (washi) starting from directly creating the materials you need. Take your time to immerse yourself in the washi production process in our nature-rich paper-making village.

DAY 1: Meet at Kyoto Station/ Arrival accommodations/Overall lecture / DAY 2: Material preparation, Kozo mulberry brunch, steam, peel / DAY 3: Material preparation, Wash, simmer, beat / DAY 4: Rice thresher activity + lunch with local farmer, Paper making with mold / DAY 5: Drying procedure of paper / closing ceremony / Dry the washi paper to finish the production.
