[Incense making experience] Around 70% of Japan's incense is made here! In a town known for aromas since the Edo period, learn from a scent meister about the history and the basics of fragrances. After learning everything you need to know, you will get to choose a fragrance and shape to make your own original incense stick
Visit the factory where incense is still hand-made using traditional methods, learn from a master (called a Koushi) about fragrance, production methods and the history of incense on Awaji Island, then make your own original incense stick. It will make a perfect souvenir of your trip, too!
