「Naruto Sake Story」Brewing Culture Experience Half Day Plan
Narutotai (Honke Matsuura Shuzo) is a brewery located in a countryside valley of Naruto City, Tokushima Prefecture on Shikoku Island. Dating back over two centuries, this brewery was an important location along the Muya Kaido highway since the Edo period. Still active as a brewery today, Narutotai works diligently on traditional sake-making that draws on local nature. Held in collaboration with the Fukuju Shoyu soy sauce brewery located directly across from it, this is a special opportunity in which the respective brewers serve as your guides onto the brewery floor, normally off-limits to ordinary people. The brewers explain the various types of sake and soy sauces while you enjoy a relaxed tasting together with local foods. Step inside the deep world of brewing culture.
