This page provides official travel information about Goyomatsu Limestone Cave and nearby attractions in the Kansai region of Japan.
Fantastic sights await deep inside this cave that goes back over 80 meters. Stalactites, stone columns and stalagmites glitter with a soft light and the stalactites suspended from the ceiling range in length from 20-30 centimeters to 3 or 4 meters. The largest column, the Great Golden Pillar, is 8 meters tall. The cave is named after the man that discovered it, Goyomatsu Akai. (Image provided by Tenkawa Village)
