According to a historical record from 807, around 1,300 years ago, the Inbe clan, who worked for the imperial court, cultivated hemp and paper mulberry and flourished as paper and cloth producers. Here, in addition to seeing the manufacturing processes behind handmade washi, visitors can create their own original postcards, and use indigo-a specialty of Tokushima-to make their own handkerchief using indigo dyeing techniques.
